Haveeru understands that he will call on King Salman bin Abdulaziz during his stay in the country. However, there have not been any further details revealed. The President’s Office’s spokesperson, Ibrahim Muaz Ali had refused to comment as well. Instead, he stated that such decisions will be announced through a joint-statement by the Foreign Ministries of both countries. King Salman bin Abdulaziz had visited the Maldives in February of 2014 before his accession to the throne. Maldivian Vice President Mohamed Jameel Ahmed had visited the king in January to convey his condolences on the passing away of his half-brother, the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
