Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Asheikh has called on all muslims to unite to face the challenges and issues faced by the mulsim world toda.y
He made the statement in his annual address at the plains Arafat yesterday.
Mufti said that not all of the disbelievers are enemies of islam and added that mulsims have to unite against those who are directly working against muslims. However, he stressed that the jews will never be allies of the muslim nation.
In this year’s speech, the Mufti had called on all to work in unison with the media to raise the profile of islam.
Many media reports state that nearly 3 million pilgrims had gathered in the plains of Arafat for the day. Temperatures at the plain was between 45 and 48 degrees Celsius. Saudi authorities and volunteer workers were active on the plain distributing water and food on the plain.
