An elderly person who went swimming in R. Rasmaadhoo has died.
The person who died today is 73 year old Usmaan Ahmed، Violet Villa، R. Rasmaadhoo.
Information officer of Police، Ismail Ali told “Vaguthu” that the death of an elderly person in R. Rasmaadhoo while in sea was reported around 10.30 am today morning.
Ismail Ali also said that the person was dead even when he was taken to the health center.
He also said that the person was found dead at sea by some islanders around 8.30 am today morning.
A team of police officers is working at Rasmaadhoo to investigate this matter.
