President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has on Monday morning met with the External Affairs Minister of India، Ms. Sushma Swaraj.
During the meeting، President Yameen and Minister Sushma highlighted on the strong bilateral relations between the two countries، and also discussed establishing a Maldivian Educational and Cultural Centre in Thiruvananthapuram.
The Maldivian delegation during the President’s official visit to India comprises of Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon، Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee، High Commissioner to India from Maldives Mr. Ahmed Mohamed and Under Secretary at the President’s Office Mr. Mohamed Naseer.
President Yameen is set to meet with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi، and President Pranab Mukherjee as well.
