Home Minister Azleen Ahmed have said that the current government has taken the most number of actions against corruption and if someone commits an act of corruption the government does not look at who committed it and takes immediate action.
Speaking to the press at PPM’s office today, Azleen said that MDP is making false statements about the President’s recent speech at Dharubaaruge, because they ran out of things to say because the government has brought development which is equal to the development of past 40 years.
Azleen said that the President is a step ahead when it comes to acting against corrupt people. He said that the president acts no matter who it is and even now many are in jail for corruption and many more investigations are going on.
Azleen said that the President informed the ministers and heads of government owned corporations that he will take action if they commit an act of corruption. He said that if MDP misinforms the public about what the President said, then the relevant authorities will investigate it. He said that PPM will filed complaints to the relevant authorities.
Azleen made this statement because, MDP released a statement regarding the President’s speech at Dharubaaruge. In his speech the president said that corruption will be present in all the countries because humans are in charge of everything and humans can commit errors. After saying that the President assured that even so, he will take action if someone commits an act of corruption.
