A man who went missing after falling overboard a barge carrying cargo to the Velana International Airport has been found dead.
The police said they received reports regarding the sighting of a dead body off K. Gulhifalhu at around 01:21 pm Thursday.
The police recovered the body of the deceased and transported it to the Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) in Male’.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as a male migrant worker who went missing after falling overboard a barge that was carrying cargo to the airport in Hulhule’.
The police did not say when the incident took place, or disclose any other details regarding the deceased.
