Minister Khaleel Heads to Brussels for EU Indo-Pacific Talks

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdulla Khaleel, has departed for Belgium to attend the fourth European Union Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, at the invitation of Kaja Kallas, the bloc’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission.
The forum, convening in Brussels from 20 to 21 November, is regarded as a significant milestone in advancing cooperation between the European Union and the Indo-Pacific region.
During the two-day gathering, Minister Khaleel is expected to meet with counterparts from partner nations. He will also participate in a roundtable session entitled “Common Endeavours for a Clean and Sustainable Future”, underscoring the Maldives’ engagement on sustainability and shared global priorities.
The Maldives’ participation reflects its commitment to strengthening regional and international collaboration through dialogue and multilateral engagement, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
