Maldives United Opposition said that Home Minister Umar Naseer should be responsible for ongoing gang violence in Male’.
During a press conference held at MDP office، the vice chairperson of MDP said that Umar should be responsible for the violence. He said that inability to prevent violence means that Umar is not able to do his job. Shifaz said that in other parts of the world also Home Ministers resign in such cases.
Speaking at the press conference the Spokesperson of the opposition coalition Ahmed Mahloof said that event thought gang related crimes did not start today، now it has crosses the limits. “Even before fights occur، but now it is planned hits to kill people” said Mahloof. He said that these crimes are on the rise because of the relations with gangs and politicians.
