Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon has stated that the center of all our efforts should be building resilience of our people.
Minister Dunya made the remarks while delivering the statement at the annual general debate of the seventieth session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York yesterday.
Speaking at the debate، Minister Dunya noted that President Yameen’s government has embarked on a national development programme that is based on “people empowerment”; empowerment of women، empowerment of children، and empowerment of youth.
Foreign Minister further noted that investing in people is the best way to promote human rights.
“It is the best way، to ensure that the gains made in democracy are consolidated and further enhanced.”
