Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon has returned to Malé upon conclusion of her official visit to Japan, to attend the World Assembly for Women 2015.
During her visit, Dunya delivered a statement on Girls’ Education at the High Level Roundtable of the Assembly.
At the sidelines of the Assembly, she paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Abe and met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Fumio Kishida, and other bilateral partners in Japan. She also attended a reception hosted by the Embassy of Maldives in Japan to celebrate the 50th of Independence Day of the Maldives.
