President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed attended the 'Children's Day 2025' event at Hulhumalé Central Park, part of this year's nationwide Children's Day celebrations, organised for the first time by the Ministry of Education.
Upon their arrival, the President and First Lady were warmly welcomed by senior officials from the Ministry of Education and school principals. A special moment during the event saw students presenting a gift to the President.
During their visit, the President and First Lady toured the event stalls and enjoyed a stage show presented by the students. They also had the opportunity to meet some of the children and their families in attendance.
This year's Children's Day was celebrated with vibrant activities, supported by schools nationwide. The aim was to provide both children and their families with the opportunity to engage in the day's events, which included educational activities, fun games, and entertainment.
Children's Day is observed annually in the Maldives on May 10. On this occasion, the President also shared a post related to the day on his official X account.
