Indian doctor brought in to treat couple badly burned in fire

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH)’s CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Hameed states an Indian expert doctor has been brought in to treat the young couple who sustained severe burn injuries in a fire in their home in AA. Rasdhoo.
The married couple – a man and a woman both 31 years of age – are being treated on ventilator support.  
According to Abdul Razzaq, an expert doctor working at a hospital in India’s Mumbai has been brought in to treat the couple. The expert doctor has 24 years of experience in treating burns and plastic surgery, he added.
The fire at the young couple’s home took place on March 24th. They were both transferred to Male’ for further treatment on the same day.
A Rasdhoo resident who to Sun earlier said that the young couple lived in the house with their five-year-old child – who was unharmed in the incident.
According to the local, the fire originated from one of the rooms in the couple’s home, and caused burns to almost all of their body.
