Foundation stone of Island Aviation's new office has been laid

The foundation stone of the new Corporate Head Office building of Island Aviation Services (IAS), the parent company of the national airline Maldivian, has been laid.
The foundation stone of the building was laid by Transport Minister Mohamed Ameen, Construction Minister Dr Abdullah Muthalib, Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) Managing Director Abdul Matheen Mohamed, Island Aviation Managing Director Ibrahim Iyas and the company’s Deputy Managing Director Ali Saleem.
The ceremony was also attended by Island Aviation Board members and employees.

Quoting Island Aviation, state media PSM reported that the company currently has to spend a lot of money on building leases as its employees work in five buildings around Male’ city.
Therefore, the new office building will bring all the company's departments under one roof and provide financial relief for the company, Island Aviation said.
Chinese company ‘Hunan No. 6 Engineering Company Ltd’ was awarded the contract for the new Island Aviation building.
The 12-storey building, which covers an area of ​​approximately 4,745 sqft, will house a ticket office on the first floor, Island Aviation said. The company aims to complete the building by December next year.
