Bank of Maldives (BML) has provided financial support for two local NGOs to commemorate International Women’s Day on 8 March.
BML donated of MVR46,000 to ‘Family Legal Clinic’ and ‘Women In Tech’ each. Both organizations are well known for their efforts in women empowerment.
The ceremony to donate the financial support to the two organizations was held on Friday morning at the main branch of BML. The donation was given by the official in charge of the bank’s management, Ms Aishath Nooraddeen.
The ceremony was attended by several of the female staff employed at the national bank of Maldives.
Ms Nooraddeen spoke during the special ceremony and said that the donations will act to support various activities pledged and organized by the organizations towards women empowerment.
