President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy to the President of the People’s Republic of China، Mr. Xi Jinping.
The President stated in his message that the Government and the people of the Maldives and himself are deeply shocked and horrified to learn about the heinous attack in Xinjiang region، China، and that the Government and people of the Maldives strongly condemn all acts of terror in the strongest terms.
Furthermore، President highlighted that Maldives is committed to the fight against the global menace of terrorism and will continue to work closely with China and the international community as a whole in eliminating the fear of terrorism.
Ending the message، President Yameen requested to convey condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
