Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced special non-stop flights from Male’ to Jeddah during the upcoming school holidays, offering a convenient travel option for Maldivians planning to travel to Saudi Arabia for umrah.
In a statement on Thursday, the airline announced it will operate three flights from Male’ to Jeddah on December 27 and 28, and three return flights from Jeddah to Male’ on January 10, 11 and 12.
Maldivian said that this schedule is designed to provide a practical travel window that allows travelers sufficient time in Jeddah to complete their umrah pilgrimage, while also aligning with school holidays to make family travel more manageable.

Return fares start from USD 750, inclusive of a 45kg baggage allowance, offering added convenience for travelers preparing for their journey. According to Maldivian, the allowance also supports those returning with permitted items such as Zamzam water, providing additional flexibility for their needs.
The special flights will be operated on Maldivian’s A330 aircraft, offering a spacious and comfortable travel experience suitable for long-haul journeys, families, and elderly travelers.
Travelers are asked to book their tickets by December 20 to secure their preferred travel dates.
