Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has described this year’s Hajj pilgrimage arrangements as the successful to date.
The Minister said this year’s arrangements were significantly improved compared to previous years. Feedback from pilgrims also indicated their satisfaction with the services received, he said. However, they did note some areas that can be improved, he added.
Noting that the Hajj pilgrimage is organised by the Saudi government Minister Shaheem said the Maldivian government was committed to improving the things within its capacity.
The Minister said that although pilgrims have faced issues such as getting lost during previous years, no such incident occurred this year.
