MMPRC kicks off new destination marketing campaign with Kuoni UK

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has launched another destination marketing campaign, this time with Kuoni UK.
The top tourism promoter of the Maldives joined hands with one of the most prominent tour operators in the world, to commence the one-month campaign which kicked off on Monday, 28th February 2022.
Much like the other destination marketing efforts by MMPRC, the new partnership aims to promote the island nation as an ideal travel destination that "caters to the needs and wants of travelers in the era of the new normal."
The campaign aims to market the Maldives as a tourism safe haven, promote the unique experiences of the island nation as well as provide the latest travel advisories and stringent measures in the country for tourism products - resorts, hotels, liveaboards, safaris, and guesthouses.
Campaign particulars include dedicated emails with information of the Maldives sent out to the Kuoni database, advertisements on the Kuoni website's homepage, and inspirational articles about the country that will be posted on various social media platforms.
In addition to this, Kuoni will aid in posting classified advertisements on the Sunday Telegraph while in-store video material featuring the Maldives will be displayed across 26 stores in the UK.
MMPRC hopes to increment the bookings and arrivals from the UK to the Maldives.
So far, the island nation has welcomed a total of 251,339 tourists - as of 23rd February 2022 - while the UK is ranked second among the top source markets with a year-to-date arrival total of 28,569 which is an 11.4 percent market share.
Meanwhile, MMPRC held several UK-focused marketing activities during 2021, which includes participation in major fairs such as The National Wedding Show, WTM London 2021, and hosting a MICE Roadshow in the UK.
