Government of China has donated a scan machine to IGMH.
The machine was officially handed over to IGMH during a ceremony held at Orchid Lounge of IGMH this afternoon. The machine was handed over to IGMH by Chinese Ambassador to Maldives Mr.Wang Fukang. Dr.Ali Nazeem of IGMH received the machine on behalf of IGMH.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador said that the machine was a special gift to IGMH by Chinese President. He promised that the government of China will provide assistance to the health sector and other sectors of Maldives.
The ambassador noted that even now Chinese government is assisting the health sector of Maldives. China provides training opportunities to personals in the health sector and recently donated 80,000 dollars to upgrade the reception area of Health Ministry.
Dr. Ali Nazeem said that the scan machine will be placed in the special department that is being developed for women. Dr.Nazeem said that they accept this gift with much gratitude.
Dr.Nazeem thanked the Chinese government for Chinese assistance to develop the health sector of Maldives.
