Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is hosting ‘Visit Maldives Week’ in Italy and France, showcasing the natural beauty, culture, and unique experiences of the Maldives.
According to MMPRC, 18 representatives from 12 Maldivian tourism companies are taking part in the Visit Maldives Week Italy and France.
The Italian roadshow was held in Rome on May 14th and will be held in Milan on May 15th. The French road shows will be held in Lyon on May 19th and Paris on May 20th.

MMPRC said the event is aimed at showcasing the stunning natural beauty, rich culture, and unique experiences of the Maldives, bringing the destination closer to some of its top European markets. It will also provide a key platform for the industry partners to form new partnerships, deepen existing ties, and share the latest destination updates about the Maldives.
To provide an immersive experience of the Maldives, interactive activities such as quizzes and workshops are being held in Italy and Lyon. Meanwhile, a media-focused event in Paris will spotlight the stunning natural landscapes and distinctive resorts across the Maldivian islands. The Visit Maldives Week roadshows are designed to actively connect with industry professionals through one-on-one B2B meetings, networking sessions, and destination-themed workshops. Participants will also have the opportunity to win exclusive holiday vouchers, generously offered by Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru, Canareef Resort Maldives, Six Senses Laamu, and Riu Hotels & Resorts.

Italy and France continue to be key source markets for the Maldives’ tourism sector, both demonstrating strong growth in 2025. As of mid-May, Italy holds the 4th position, with 79,482 visitors having travelled to the Maldives. France follows as the 7th leading market, contributing over 33,108 arrivals during the same period.
MMPRC conducts a variety of promotional engagements aimed at solidifying the Maldives’ position as the premier destination for Italian and French travelers. Looking ahead, they have several initiatives pipeline, ranging from webinar series; and campaigns with tour operators and airlines; to media and influencer familiarization trips.
