President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr Mohamed Muizzu, has emphasised that building an economically resilient and strongly developed Maldives will enhance investor confidence and attract greater investment to the country.
He made the remarks while addressing the official ceremony held this evening in Gan, Addu City, to inaugurate the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Air Corps’ Gan Air Station, as part of his ongoing visit to Fuvahmulah City and Addu.
President Dr Muizzu noted that major investments are drawn to nations recognised for their stability and security. He added that as the Maldives continues to strengthen its institutional capacity and professional capabilities, investor trust and sustainable economic growth will follow.
Referencing developed Islamic nations, the President highlighted that national progress is closely tied to a strong and capable defence force. He reaffirmed that developing a modern military is vital to safeguarding national identity, preserving Islamic unity, and supporting broad-based economic expansion.
