Statistics from MIRA indicate that the 2011 revenue was an 89 percent increase to the Rf2.4 billion received in 2010. Statistics also show that the most revenue was received from the tourism industry, which includes Rf1.2 as resort rent, Rf752 million as tourism tax, Rf666 million as Tourism Goods and Services Tax (T-GST) and Rf511 million received from resort lease extension. The second highest revenue was received from airport service charge, which earned the state Rf337 million in revenue.
