Home Ministry has stated that the statements of former President Mohamed Nasheed hold no weight.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, a top official of the Home Ministry said that Nasheed’s statements abroad hold no weight whatsoever.
He said that Nasheed is making statements regarding the issue of missing reporter Ahmed Ridwan seeking fame and attention.
He said that Nasheed makes such statements to achieve his sinister political motives. The official said that there is none from the people who take Nasheed’s speeches seriously.
He also said that Nasheed’s foolish speeches make him look more foolish and this has been increasing the support of the people on the government.
The official said that Nasheed exposed his failure by making false allegations in his first public speech given in the recent 9 months.
