Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan has resigned from his post as Special Envoy to the President.
His resignation letter was submitted to Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday morning.
Dr Waheed was appointed as Special Envoy to the President on 26 May last year. No further details regarding the resignation were immediately disclosed.
