The Bank of Maldives (BML) has officially launched ATM services in Olhuvelifushi, completing its goal of installing ATMs in every inhabited island of Lhaviyani Atoll.
The rollout was celebrated at a ceremony attended by Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources Ahmed Shiyam, BML Chairman Ali Habeeb, and CEO & Managing Director Mohamed Shareef.
“This is a very special achievement,” said Shareef. “With Olhuvelifushi now connected, we’ve reached our goal of providing ATM access across all residential islands from Thuraakunu in Haa Alifu to Male' City.”
BML currently operates 42 branches, 193 self-service banking centers, and 251 ATMs, spanning across 20 atolls.
The bank says it will continue to expand its online banking services, aiming to support individuals, businesses, and communities throughout the Maldives.
