Power failure halts all services from Transport Authority

Services from the Transport Authority have come to a halt due to a power failure today.
The office is housed in Huravee Building, one of the older office complexes.
Abdul Rasheed Nafiz, Chairman of the Transport Authority told Sun today that all services from the authority have been halted since morning due to a power failure caused by faults in the building’s electrical wiring.
“All services to the public have come to a halt because of a wiring problem in the building that has cut off all power. The power cut has also cut off power from the server, so services cannot be provided,” he said.
Nafiz said that they encounter many such problems due to the old age and state of the building. He said that the electricity is often effected by rats that eat through the wires and rain that sometimes flood the offices.
The Transport Authority Chairman said that they have brought in a technician who is working to fix the problem.
