BML said that Healy was appointed to this post by the bank’s Board of Directors on Monday.
BML said that Andrew joined BML as CEO on 12 January 2014 and was appointed to the Board by the government on 6 February 2014.
In a statement, BML said that Healy has more than 18 years of executive experience, including at CEO and board level.
“Andrew has worked for two international banking groups, most recently as Irish CEO and
Group Executive Committee member of Scandinavian institution, Danske Bank Group.
“Prior to this he worked for Royal Bank of Scotland Group in a number of senior roles in
both Ireland and the United Kingdom. Andrew has in-depth experience of all aspects of
retail and commercial banking as well as project financing, international trade financing,
development and investment banking.”
