HDC urges public to avoid closed-off roadwork areas

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has urged the public not to enter closed-off roadwork areas in Hulhumale’.
In a statement, HDC said road repairs are being carried out in phases, with efforts made to minimise disruption to residents.
HDC said some roads will be temporarily closed as a safety measure and to expedite progress. The public has been advised to follow traffic signs and avoid restricted areas.
HDC said the road development works are aimed at improving road quality and addressing transportation difficulties. The corporation apologised for any inconvenience caused to the public as a result of the closures.
In addition to repairing the existing roads of Hulhumale’, HDC is also developing roads in the area linked the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) flats developed in Hulhumale’ Phase II. Most of this work is already completed.
