Minister of Foreign Affairs,. Ms. Dunya Maumoon has sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore,. Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, following his appointment.
Minister Dunya's message to Minister Dr. Balakrishnan, reads as follows:
It is with much pleasure that I congratulate Your Excellency on your appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore.
I look forward to working with Your Excellency to enhance the existing ties of friendship between the Maldives and Singapore for the mutual benefit and progress of the people of both our countries. I am confident that the friendly relations that exist between our two countries will be further strengthened during Your Excellency’s term of office.
Please accept my best wishes for Your Excellency’s well-being and for the continued success, peace and prosperity of the people of Singapore, whilst renewing to Your Excellency the assurances of my highest consideration.
