Former president Mohamed Nasheed، who is currently serving a 13 year jail sentence، has been taken back to Maafushi prison after getting his MRI scan done at ADK Hospital.
While Nasheed was taken back to Maafushi prison not long after his MRI scan was done، he has been treated previously also in the hospital as per the doctor’s suggestions.
Nasheed was treated earlier also in Senahiya Hospital and IGMH as well، and was also transferred to home detention as per the doctor’s suggestion. He was transferred to home detention in accordance with the doctor’s suggestion to stay in a “stress free” environment due to his deteriorating health. However، he was transferred back to Maafushi prison about a month ago.
It is to be noted that Nasheed was brought to Malé today also for medical consultation along with a lot of corrections officers.
