Thoriq Ibrahim، the Minister of Environment and Energy، has been handed over the duties to manage the Ministry of Tourism.
Thoriq was assigned as the interim Tourism Minister، as Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor is currently out of the country on an official visit.
Adeeb was the Tourism Minister when he sworn in as the new Vice President in July. While no one has been appointed the new Tourism Minister، President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom assigned VP Adeeb as the in-charge of the Tourism Ministry.
