Police are investigating a case where an individual holding a senior management position at a resort in Laamu atoll was assaulted.
It has been reported that the incident occurred in Six Senses Laamu resort, with the victim being the resort's General Manager.
Police said that the victim had been riding a bicycle on the resort when an assailant came from behind and hit him over the head with a blunt object.
Police received reports of the incident yesterday, but said no arrests have been made as of yet.
Police said that they are conducting further investigations into the incident.
