Former Vice President Faisal Naseem visited the Indonesian Parliament on Monday at the invitation of Speaker Puan Maharani.  
Faisal was warmly welcomed upon arrival and later held extensive discussions with the Speaker.  
During the meeting, the two leaders reflected on the 50-year relationship between the Maldives and Indonesia, established in 1974, and emphasized the importance of continuing to move forward together.

They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in multiple areas, including education, health, climate, economy, and other sectors. Speaker Puan Maharani expressed her interest in working closely with the Maldivian government in these fields.  
The visit highlighted the enduring friendship between the two countries and their shared commitment to expanding cooperation across diverse areas.
