Bank of Maldives (BML) tonight established a dollar ATM and a dollar dispensing counter at Hdh. Hanimaadhoo International Airport, arranging for travelers using the airport to easily access US dollars. These services were officially inaugurated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at a special ceremony held tonight to officially open Hanimaadhoo International Airport. Mohamed Shareef, CEO and Managing Director of BML, stated that the bank is pleased to arrange for the availability of dollars at Hanimaadhoo International Airport. He further added, “The establishment of a dollar ATM alongside a dollar counter at Hanimaadhoo International Airport demonstrates the importance we place on setting up facilities that allow our customers easy access to the bank’s services from anywhere in the Maldives.” With these services, BML’s goal is to assist individuals and businesses with a banking network that covers the entire Maldives. Currently, BML’s services are provided across 20 atolls through 42 branches, 202 Self-Service Banking Centres, 262 ATMs, in addition to the most modern online banking services. The establishment of these services at Hanimaadhoo Airport symbolizes the bank’s commitment to boosting economic activities in the northern region of the Maldives. These services will provide additional convenience for travelers heading to the northern islands and those using the airport to access financial services.
