Home Minister Azleen Ahmed have said that there were Islamic nations in the world even before and Maldives did not get assistance from these countries in the past as much as it does now.
Last night Azleen said that, the leaders of these nations did not have close relation with Maldives as they have now. In addition, he said that the western countries always pose challenges to Maldives, but President Yameen is moving forward without ruining the relationship with those countries as well.
He said that Maldives is benefiting from having close ties with Islamic nations. Azleen also noted that Saudi Arabia, the Islamic nation which assists Maldives most constructs various mosques across the Maldives in addition to numerous financial aid.
