A person from Dhangethi who spoke to Sun yesterday said that the Indian woman was working in the island to teach computer classes organized by a company called CITM, and that some people had gone into her house, which was located a well-populated area, and that the people with whom she shared the house were not home at the time when she was raped.
The man also said that in addition to raping her, the people had stolen the woman’s money and computer. He also added that robberies had become more common in the island for the previous two to three days, and that the police have been powerless to stop them.
