MNDF Coastguard has said that the second out of three missing crew members of “Maarana 4” boat has been found.
“Maarana 4” is a dhoani which is being searched for since night before last night when it went incommunicado. The boat went missing while travelling from Malé to A.A Atoll Kuramathi Resort. A total of 3 crewmen including one local and two expats were aboard the boat at the time.
MNDF informed that the crewman found is a Bangladeshi citizen. Informing to “Vaguthu”، information officer of MNDF said that the crew member was found around 8.21 am today morning 2 miles away from southwest of Ziyaaraifushi.
The recent update or communication established with the vessel was around 21:00hrs night before last night according to the owner، and the vessel was near Veligandu Resort around the time، reports MNDF. A total of 3 crewmen were aboard the vessel which included one local and two expats. The vessel is 75 feet long and in blue color coating.
MNDF informed earlier that life jackets and palettes believed to be belonging to this boat were found 5 nautical miles away from southwest of K. Ziyaaraifushi.
