Dhiraagu Road Race opens Corporate Team category registration

Dhiraagu has announced the opening of registrations for the Corporate Team category of the Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race 2025, the Maldives’ largest and only international running event.
Scheduled for Friday, October 24, at Hulhumale' Central Park, Dhiraagu says the event aims to inspire workplaces to promote fitness and embrace running with a purpose.
Dhiraagu recently hosted a productive session with members from various organizations to reflect on how the road race event can encourage corporate participation in fostering health, teamwork, and social responsibility. The session highlighted the event’s role in uniting communities for a meaningful cause, with this year’s marathon dedicated to raising funds for child protection.
Held first in 2024, the Corporate Team category allows teams of four to represent their organizations, including resorts, government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private sector companies.

Each team is required to pay a registration fee of MVR 1,000, with a discounted rate of MVR 800 for payments made via Dhiraagu Pay. The registration fee provides for a comprehensive running kit, consisting of a runner’s T-shirt, a bib with a timing chip, a bag, and a finisher medal.
Additionally, MVR 100 from each runner’s fee will be donated to NGOs focused on child protection.
Winners in the Corporate Team Category will be determined based on the total time tallied by each team’s four members, with each participant given a standard timeframe of 45 minutes to complete the 5 km race. The prize pool for the category includes:
Champion Team: MVR 10,000
Runner-up Team: MVR 8,000
Second Runner-up Team: MVR 6,000
The Dhiraagu Road Race is officially registered with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and listed in the AIMS World Running calendar. This year’s event continues its tradition of supporting social causes, with proceeds from registration fees allocated to NGOs working in child protection, including Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC), Autism Association, Maldives Deaf Association, Care Society, Maldives Women’s Association, and the Maldives Association of Persons with Disabilities.
Registrations for the Corporate Team Category are now open at www.dmrr.mv and will remain available until the event reaches its capacity of 4,000 participants.
Dhiraagu encourages early registration to secure spots in this highly anticipated event, which promises a day of fitness, camaraderie, and giving back to the community.
