Dhiraagu and SparkHub have announced GenAI Hack, the Maldives’ first generative AI hackathon, aimed at empowering start-ups, entrepreneurs, and innovators to accelerate product development through AI.
The event will bring together young creators and help them transform ideas into fully functional products within 48 hours using generative AI tools and platforms. Participants will receive hands-on guidance from AI practitioners through curated sessions covering ideation, development, deployment, and product launch.
Unlike traditional hackathons, GenAI Hack will follow an open-category format, requiring teams to build entirely new solutions during the event. A key rule of the competition is “No shipping, no pitching”, teams must publicly launch their product before presenting it to the judges. Instead of conceptual demos or slide decks, the judging panel will evaluate live, publicly accessible products.

SparkHub CEO and Co-Founder Hussain Jinan noted that founders around the world are now using AI to overcome skill gaps and dramatically speed up product development, and the hackathon is designed to reflect this shift.
GenAI Hack 2026 will take place from February 6–8, and registration is now open for teams of three to five members, with limited slots available.
