Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) staff have submitted a petition to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu voicing concerns over failing to receive this month's salaries as per the new framework.
CAA staff state that all staff had signed an agreement which said that the new framework will be implemented this month onwards. However, upon receiving their salaries, they came to see the new framework had not been implemented.
The petition states that this month's salaries had been received in accordance with the previous framework.
Staff said in the petition that CAA claimed the new framework had not been implemented due to failure to receive necessary permissions from relevant government authorities.
The staff also requested a meeting with the President.
