President concludes official visit to four islands of Thiladhunmathi

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has returned to Malé City after concluding three-day official visit to four islands of Thiladhunmathi.
During his three-day official trip president first visited HDh. Naivaadhoo and HDh. Finey before visiting Ha. Utheemu and Ha. Dhidhdhoo. Also, the First Lady Fazna Ahmed also joined the President on his three-day official visit.
Moreover, President and first lady took part in the the National Day celebrations held at Utheemu. At the formal ceremony conducted to commemorate National Day, the President stated that the greatest way to honor the country is to guarantee all inhabitants a “Jazeera” living without bias and easy access to livelihoods. A traditional banquet was also held on Utheemu in honor of the President and First Lady.
The President also took part in the official launch of Zone 1 of the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) ferry service. The President emphasized during the occasion that the start of the RTL service marks the beginning of the islands regaining their prosperity and independence. The President also discussed the administration’s initiatives to significantly advance the Bodu-Thiladhunmathi region through extensive infrastructure development projects, including as the extension of the Hanimaadhoo International Airport. The development of water networks and sewage systems was among the infrastructure development initiatives that the President inaugurated in the atolls of Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu.
Furthermore, President met with members of the Women’s Development Committee (WDC) and the Island Councils during his visit. In addition, senior government officials and cabinet ministers accompanied the President on this visit.
