Nursery qualification certificate mandatory for permanent registration

The Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council has stated that temporary registrations will be provided to fresh nursing graduates who have not provided qualifications certificates but submitted proof of course completion.
The Council has pointed out that this has become a prevalent issue as of late. Under current guidelines, nurses are being provided permanent registration with course completion certificates alone. However, new regulations, in effect from February 1st, state that proof of qualification is a mandatory step in receiving permanent nursing registration.
In addition to the certificate of course completion, provisional registration and practicing licenses are also required for this process. The Maldives Nursing and Midwifery Council has detailed these regulations also apply to nurses having passed competency tests seeking licenses, as well as those who would like to provide additional qualifications.
