The national airline of Maldives, Maldivian is preparing to add two additional aircraft to its fleet for efficient flight operations.
According to Managing Director Mr Mohamed Rizvy of Maldivian’s parent company Island Aviation the decision comes as a means to accommodate for flights to newly developed airports in the country.
Mr Rizvy while addressing at the State-Owned Enterprises committee at Maldives Parliament mentioned that four new airports will be opening sometime within the year adding the current fleet at Maldivian is insufficient for a smooth flight operation.
