Elections Commission (EC) has stated that an all-women’s fishing team will be active in the festivities of the democracy week.
Speaking in a press conference, EC stated that the democracy week was held to raise awareness on democracy, which is part of the mandate of the Commission.
The Commission stated that many events had been planned for the week and participants of each event will be briefed on information on democracy and democratic processes.
Commission’s Vice President, Akram said that in the door to door program carried out in Hoarafushi, two ministers, officials from judiciary and Prosecutor General is taking part.
