Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi and senior military officials have on Wednesday left to India on an official visit.
Minister Mariya is to meet with members of the Indian government and discuss cooperation in security and other matters pertaining to the armed forces.
Mariya and her delegation is to conclude their visit on 30th January; this is Minister Mariya’s first trip out of the Maldives since being appointed in November, last year.
The delegation includes Chief of Defence, Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Department of International Defence Cooperation Colonel Abdulmatheen Ahmed and Coast Guard director, Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed Saleem.
