Ahmed Adhuham, vocalist for the band 2ofus, is the first Maldivian artist to be included in The World Album, an international music project.
This project is featured in Billboard Magazine’s Grammy Contenders Issue and is officially on the GRAMMY ballot for Best Global Music Album.
The World Album, created by the International Artists Project, features contributions from 200 nations, in 93 languages, and across 121 music genres. Adhuham stated, "It’s an honor to represent my country in such a historic project. Music has no borders, and being part of an album that unites every nation’s sound under one vision is something truly powerful."
Maldivian band 2ofus gears up for India’s Got Talent Season 11 auditions on August 10, 2025.
The project has been submitted to the Recording Academy for Grammy consideration, and its feature in Billboard's Grammy Contenders Issue highlights the Maldives' presence in the global arts community.
2ofus, founded by Adhuham and including Shamrooh, Nasooh, Shaheed, and Jasheem, blends Maldivian rhythms with global influences. They recently performed a sold-out concert at Olympus Theater in Male' city, featuring collaborations with Indian artists and incorporating boduberu, Bollywood, and original compositions.
The band was the second runner-up at the Battle of the Bands International 2025 in India, where Adhuham’s vocal mimicry of island birds gained attention. Their upcoming concert, "Dream Beyond Borders: 2ofus LIVE in Kuala Lumpur," will be the first official overseas concert by a Maldivian band.
