The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has elected Justice Al-Ustaz Hussain Shaheed as its new Vice-President.
Shaheed was elected to the post following the resignation of Yazmeed Mohamed. He is the only judge, apart from the Chief Justice, elected by the Supreme Court of the Maldives to serve as a member of the JSC.
The Judicial Service Commission consists of 10 members. The commission is headed by Al-Ustaz Husnee Mubarak.
