President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman have discussed expanding bilateral cooperation, with a focus on education, people-to-people exchanges and multilateral engagement, during a courtesy call at the President’s Office.
Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman, who is visiting the Maldives as the government’s special guest for the 61st Independence Day celebrations, paid the courtesy call on the President on Friday evening.
During the meeting, the President warmly welcomed Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and expressed his sincere appreciation for the minister's visit to the Maldives as the special guest for the Independence Day celebrations.
The two sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on multilateral cooperation, education opportunities, and people-to-people exchanges.
The call concluded with both sides highlighting the longstanding bilateral relations and enduring friendship between the two countries, while reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening cooperation across areas of mutual interest for the mutual benefit of both countries.
