A record amount of tourists had visited Maldives in the previous month of February.
According to Tourism Minister، Ahmed Adeeb more than 120،000 tourists had visited to Maldives in the month of February alone.
Economic and Youth Council of Cabinet، commenced a press conference a while back، in which Tourism Minister Ahmed Adeeb، highlighted the statistical figures، and stated that previous month is marked as the highest amount of tourists visiting Maldives within a 1 month period، since the inauguration of Tourism industry in Maldives، 40 years back.
“A total of 120،000 tourists visited Maldives during the month of February، this is record amount when put in to comparison with the previous 4 year duration” Adeeb said.
In addition، he also highlighted previously the most tourist visits in one month was recorded back in February 2014، with a total of 110،000 tourists visiting.
