UNICEF Regional Director for South Asia, Ms. Karin Hulshof paid a farewell call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Ms. Dunya Maumoon.
At a meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday morning, Minister Dunya welcomed and congratulated the UNICEF Regional Director on completing her term of work. Minister Dunya noted the active role UNICEF has played over the years in the development of children’s issues in the Maldives.
The Regional Director congratulated the Minister and the government for the progress the Maldives has achieved in different areas especially in the Millennium Development Goals and hoped that the same would be achieved in Sustainable Development Goals as well.
Foreign Minister Dunya was accompanied by Mr. Ibrahim Shaheeb, Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. .
